Who are we?

We are a small business that provides web design / website coding solutions for new businesses and individuals. We are trading under the name Studio 2 Web Design, based in Portsmouth, Hampshire. This privacy policy is created to ensure our visitors feel safe when using our website or forum.

Visitors using our website.

We do not collect any information to identify visitors to our site. We do however track visitor's locations to the nearest town to help with our marketing and statistics.

Visitors using our forum.

When using the web design forum on our website, a username and password will be required. It will be necessary to submit your email address for authentication reasons when signing up to use the forum. We will not use this email address for advertising products or services to you, or for other businesses or individuals to do the same, unless you give us permission to do so.
Visitors using the forum will have a cookie set on their pc, to allow login data to be stored.
There are 2 types of cookie. The first is a session based cookie, which is allocated to your pc for the duration of your visit. It completely expires when you log out or close the browser.
The 2nd is a persistent cookie, which stores your login details and any personalised settings when using the forum, on your pc. This will be stored on your pc for a certain period of time, depending on the information set. The basic function of this type of cookie is so we can see that you have already visited our site and to store login details. Most pcs are set to accept cookies automatically, however if yours is not, or are unsure, please contact your IT administrator.
We do not use this information and our visitors will not be indentifiable from this information.

Personal information.

Any personal information submitted by you, to us, will be held in the strictest confidence. We will not pass your details on to any other business or individual unless required to do so by law, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. This includes any information passed from you to us via electronic or conventional methods.
Without submitting information to us via our website or other methods, we have no way to personally identify you. We are unable to monitor your internet usage regardless of whether we have identified you or not.

Payments.

Any card or cheque payments made to us by you, will be fully invoiced and a receipt given where necessary. We cannot use or store any personal or payment information, as card facilities are provided by a worldwide credit card payment gateway. We do not have access to any customer's personal or financial details.
